5 Important Inventions of Egyptian Life

Hieroglyphics- I think hieroglyphics are the most important invention of Egyptian time. This was one of the first ways of collecting history and communication. Because they could write things down, they could take records of things happening in their lives. Writing things down helped build a set of laws to remember and help people communicate more efficiently. If hieroglyphics did not exist than the history of the fascinating Egyptian life would not exist. I mean yes the pyramids would still be standing but these writings are crucial information into the past.
Papyrus- Well, now there's writing and you can write on clay but what if you want to carry your writing around without dragging a slab of clay? That's why I thought papyrus was the next most important invention in Egyptian time. This was the first invention of paper and it was very helpful in keeping records in hieroglyphics of course. This paper was also very durable so it could last a little longer than maybe regular paper. Keeping records on this paper in hieroglyphics was a big step into civilization for Egyptians
Ox-drawn plow- Now you have all these people to feed, how are you going to keep up with them and the increasing population? The invention of the ox-drawn plow was a huge technological break through for Egyptians. This helped them farm faster and produce a food surplus for their population.
Doctors- Egyptians didn't think illnesses were only punishment anymore, or that curing was a religious act. They now had actual doctors who learned how to heal people using herbs and different technics. And how do we know this? It's written down in hieroglyphics!
Sails and Boats- Egyptians had all these new inventions, how would they share with the world? How could they get more supplies to build more inventions? Oh yeah, let's make another huge technological break through and make boats and sails! These Egyptians were so insanely intelligent they made boats to sail the Nile River as transportation. Carrying things on foot got tiring so why not make something that could carry all your supplies and you down the river? All of these inventions are hugely important in the developing civilization of ancient Egypt.
